I came to NYC for a couple days to look at a few apartments and see a few friends. Both apartments got taken before I even got to the city, I failed at getting together with one friend last night and now the other isn't responding. I've been sitting here ready to head out and haven't heard anything in almost 2 hours. And to top it off I've had a killer sinus infection since yesterday morning.

I hate when a plan never works out. Sorry to hear that. I learned a long time ago to never make plans with people until they (or me, for that matter) actually show up ready to go. Life has a nasty habit of getting in the way, and sometimes there's just nothing you can do about it. Having responsibilities sucks sometimes.

One time in high school I had a really bad cold, and I picked a booger that was almost an inch long. It was one of those ones where it was mostly dry and sitting on the nasal septum.

It felt sooo good pulling it out, and I breathed much better.

Thanks, It's just so frustrating and helpless to sit and wait for a reply, and not get anything. Usually they finally come through and everything is good, now I have no idea what happened =o\

Use streeteasy, it's really good for the general public. Have this stuff ready: 2 years most recent tax returns, same for a guarantor if you have one, a letter from your employer stating your salary and how long you've worked there, and a checkbook to put a deposit down at a moments notice. Ny apt searches are tough, so you just have to be more ready than anyone. I've been in NYC RE for the last 4 years now, so if you need any help, give me a holler.
